We set off off the 18th of November to Panorama, Canada, where we entered into the IPCAS Giant Slalom, Super Combined and Super G races, which were our first races since our training block in NZ and Austria. We raced successfully gaining 2 gold and a silver under our belt but most importantly some racing experience under our belt, assuring us that we're working well together as team going into this Paralympic Season. Now, with 100 days to go we are now training at Winter Park, CO with NSCD for our next races in Copper Mountain, and we're looking forward to our first thanksgiving tomorrow with our friends the Umstead's ! Jade’s introduction to competition skiing came in the Summer of 2007 when she took part in the British Disabled Ski Team’s squad trial at the Manchester Chill Factore. By the end of the weekend she was offered a place on the BDST development squad and then attended one or two training camps every year whilst still at school.
