Arrived in New Zealand last week for our first camp of the Sochi Paralympic Season. Arrived in great spirits to some amazing weather. The pistes have held up well and and allowed us to get some great training in with help of our coach Tony McAllister. Last week was our first time in the gates together skiing slalom and super g and we made good foundations to build on for the races next week.

Just want to say a huge thank you to our new sponsors Bawbags, Thule and Salmon as well as our other sponsors for their continued support. It is vital for us to have support at this higher level of the sport, and we would have never have got here without it.

Our races begin next week, and as part of the Audi Quattro Winter Games we will be competing in Coronet Peak on the 23/24 August providing the weather stays good. So watch this space.

Jade’s introduction to competition skiing came in the Summer of 2007 when she took part in the British Disabled Ski Team’s squad trial at the Manchester Chill Factore. By the end of the weekend she was offered a place on the BDST development squad and then attended one or two training camps every year whilst still at school.
